Head of Marketing (Berlin)

Your mission
iMusician is looking for a new “Head of Marketing” to lead its Xberg team (Bergmannstr) and marketing and support team of more than 20. Your marketing prowess will be important, but not more than your experience in running a smooth, stable marketing operation. We are proud to have a dynamic team of SEA, SEO, Content Marketing, CRM, Social Media and customer support experts, who we trust to “know what to do”, hopefully even better than you. And what we need in you is a charismatic, structured, process driven operations person who can create a framework where they can deliver their best.

As the most senior person in the Berlin office, you will report directly to the CEO in Zürich, to run the operations as well as represent the company values in Germany.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute a cohesive marketing strategy;
  • Manage day-to-day operations in a highly structured manner;
  • Managing and delivering repeatable, reproducible marketing activities;
  • Make key strategic decisions;
  • Building and managing a rapidly growing team;
  • Manage monthly, quarterly and yearly targets and budgets;
  • Track, monitor and report performance to key stakeholders and executive team;

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years in a management position (with at least several direct reports);

Content Marketing Manager / Editor in Chief (Berlin)

Your mission
We are looking for an Editor in Chief / Content Marketing Manager (60 – 100%, Monday – Friday) with 5+ years of experience in a similar role in the music industry.

Answering to our Online Marketing Manager, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Create a content strategy based on excellent knowledge of our audience’s needs and marketing funnel (attract, convert and retain customers in a B2C environment);
  • Define and manage our content creation and editorial direction with a solid red line in order to provide top quality content for different audiences across several marketing channels (blog, social media, Spotify, etc.);
  • Work closely with our Online Marketing Manager and our marketing team to develop and execute strategies;
  • Implement content in the campaign workflow;
  • Understand SEO best practices and tools to produce, compile and optimise content for our website in 5 different languages (+5 new languages to be added in 2019);
  • Create structured reports with data driven analysis to prioritise and influence our strategic decisions;
  • Understand and be up-to-date with the music industry market and latest trends (from the perspective of artists and music industry players).

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience as Editor in Chief or Content Marketing Manager within the music industry (digital music magazine, major label, music tech company);
  • A successful track record of managing and creating content to attract, convert and retain customers in a B2C environment;
  • Strong analytical skills with very good understanding of business and editorial KPIs;
  • Experience with tracking tools (Google Analytics);
  • At ease with WordPress and content management systems;
  • Have a clear understanding of the marketing funnel, CRO, user experience, efficiency (A/B testing, conversion rates);
  • Good Photoshop and Illustrator skills;

Your mission
For our Berlin office, we are looking for a Customer Support and Community Manager to take care of our English customers and social media community (English native level required).

This is a part-time position 16h-32h per week with a possibility to grow into a full time position.
